UGR workshop on numerical EMC applied to hybrid electrical aircrafts
UGR organises a workshop on 21 Nov 2024 on numerical electromagnetic compatibility for aerospace vehicles, connected to the VI Spanish Symposium on EMC in Seville.
EMC compliance by the aerospace industry faces multiple challenges. On one hand the industry is moving towards electric/hybrid-electric propulsion, leading to a significant increase in electrical power distribution networks which can potentially create interference with other subsystems. At the same time this happens, many componentes traditionally made of metal are being replaced by composites; advanced materials with complicated electromagnetic responses. This context requires a careful assessment for which numerical techniques prove to be an invaluable tool. This workshop intends to provide an overview of the solutions which a numerical approach can provide to these challenging EMC problems. It will have three blocks:
– Introduction to typical EMC problems present in aerospace: lightning, electrical networks design, etc.
– Overview of different analytical/numerical techniques available to solve them.
– Demonstration of the tools implemented by GEG-UGR and Elemwave: OpenSEMBA and workbench.
If you wish to participate in the event on 21 November 2024 from 17:00 – 19:00, please fill the following register form before 1 November 2024:
